Meet Our Board-Certified Pediatric Dentists
Pamela Clark
Dr. Pamela Clark grew up in Pearland and has always felt a strong connection to the place. Being part of the community from a young age ultimately led her to open Pearland Pediatric Dentistry in 2005.
She graduated as salutatorian from Pearland High School, where she was active in band, National Honor Society, color guard, and math club. Outside the classroom, she was a competitive baton twirler and a feature twirler. During her high school years, Dr. Clark volunteered at the Muscular Dystrophy Summer Camp, where she was a counselor/buddy for a young boy with muscular dystrophy. She also volunteered with her church youth group on a mission trip to Mexico to clean out and repaint a school. Volunteering and helping others has always been a passion for Dr. Clark.
After high school, Dr. Clark attended Texas A&M University. At first, her goal was to become a veterinarian. She even worked in a veterinarian’s office during school breaks. She soon realized that dentistry was the better option for her. Dentistry offered the chance to combine her love of science with her passion for helping people.
Dental school followed at the University of Texas Dental School in Houston. While studying, she visited Mexico once again to assist in a medical clinic, and she taught children about oral health care. After her residency, she also served at the San Jose Dental Clinic.
Hands-on experience in pediatric dentistry began early for Dr. Clark. She worked as a dental assistant for one of her pediatric dental faculty members and, in her second year, she was offered a position in a private pediatric dental practice. After three years, Dr. Clark decided it was time to open her own private practice in her hometown of Pearland.
With over 20 years of experience practicing pediatric dentistry, Dr. Clark cares exclusively for young patients and those with special healthcare needs. She sees children from their first birthday through college and finds it deeply rewarding to be part of their growth over many years. She says it’s a pleasure to spend her days surrounded by infants, children, and teens. They keep her young at heart and always on her toes.
Dr. Clark is committed to ongoing education and completes continuing education courses each year, including training in oral sedation, emergency care, laser procedures, frenectomies, restorative dentistry, and team development. The entire office also completes annual cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Greater Houston Dental Society, Houston Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Southwest Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
Giving back remains an important goal for Dr. Clark. She continues to volunteer through her church and the National Charity League, where she also served as a grade-level advisor. Her passion for caring for children with special needs grew directly from these experiences and remains one aspect of her work she is most proud of.
Outside the office, Dr. Clark has been married to her husband, Jerry, for over 25 years, and they have two daughters, Ellie and Laurel, along with two dogs. Family time is very important to her, whether that means celebrating holidays, traveling together, or enjoying time at home. In her free time, she loves being outdoors and enjoys hiking, walking, skiing, and gardening. She also enjoys cooking and trying new recipes.
Lejla Zoronjic
Dr. Lejla Zoronjic was born and raised in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she lived until moving with her parents to Houston, Texas, in 2001. Shortly after arriving in the United States, her family sought dental care that had been delayed due to circumstances in Bosnia. Those early experiences with dentistry, though challenging, became deeply formative and continue to influence how she approaches her work today.
Dr. Zoronjic’s interest in dentistry grew during a medical outreach trip to a remote village in Honduras. While working in a dental clinic, she saw firsthand the impact that dental care can have on a community. That experience confirmed that she wanted to pursue dentistry as a career. She thought it was a great opportunity to combine her technical skills with human connection while making a positive impact on children’s lives.
Mindful that each encounter with a child can influence their lifelong attitudes toward dental care, Dr. Zoronjic considers it a privilege to earn the trust of parents and children and to play a role in shaping those early dental experiences. Her hope is that every child feels comfortable and cared for at each visit, and that they have a little fun too!
As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Zoronjic is especially passionate about early education and intervention. She values the trust parents and children place in her and takes pride in helping children develop healthy habits. Supporting anxious or nervous children through appointments and helping them feel more comfortable over time is one of the most rewarding parts of her work. Families and colleagues know her for her calm, kind, and personable approach to everyone she comes into contact with.
Dr. Zoronjic is actively involved in the pediatric dental community and currently serves as vice president of the Houston Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry as a member of the College of Diplomates.
Continuing education is important to Dr. Zoronjic. She has completed courses in oral sedation, pediatric dental sedation quality and safety, sedation for patients with special needs, laser dentistry, minimally invasive restorative techniques, and pulp therapy for primary and immature permanent teeth.
Dr. Zoronjic is married to her high school sweetheart, Conner, and they have a daughter named Eleina (Ellie). In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, watching great television, and indulging in chocolate. She is also known for her unique talent of being able to memorize rap songs from the early to mid-2000s with surprising accuracy.
